Making Your Way: Preparing for Childbirth and Beyond

This class is designed to help you negotiate your journey through pregnancy, birth, breastfeeding, and life with a newborn. During our time together, I will provide you with comprehensive, evidence-based information to help you clarify your desires and make decisions for your pregnancy, birth, and parenting.  We’ll also spend time talking about your individual pregnancy experience; your joys, miseries, challenges, and triumphs.  You’ll learn techniques for managing labor, communicating with care providers, and making the transition into parenthood as smoothly as possible.

VBAC and Family Centered Cesarean Workshop

Are you preparing for a Vaginal Birth After Cesarean (VBAC)? This workshop will cover information about VBACs, techniques for labor management to optimize your chance for a vaginal birth, and gentle/family centered cesarean planning to help you have a positive birth experience in the event of a repeat cesarean birth.

Prenatal Breastfeeding Class

Breastfeeding is natural, but not always instinctive. This practical, informative, and nonjudgmental class will help to prepare you for a smooth transition into your breastfeeding/infant feeding relationship, from the first few moments through the weeks and months to follow.

The More, The Merrier: Multiples Childbirth Education

This is the only non-hospital based class for families expecting twins or higher order multiples in Western Massachusetts.

This class is a positive and pragmatic approach to childbirth education for families expecting twins, triplets, or more, which I developed based on my experience and knowledge both as a doula and as a mother of twins. In this series, we cover pregnancy, child(ren)birth, newborn parenting, and nursing, emphasizing all of the special information that families expecting multiples need to know. We’ll address all of your questions, hopes, and fears about life with multiples.
